Sloman St. Project
A beautiful Queenslander cottage located in Booval. Built on stumps, high ceilings and weatherboard cladding, it was designed for the predominantly hot Queensland weather.
Clients were in need for more space-bedrooms and living areas- to accommodate a growing family. There was a need for a future office space as well. Also required was a living area that would be fed by a larger kitchen with extra storage (pantry) facilities. Client had a good idea of what they wanted, and we were there to guide them – aligning their visions to design codes as well as meeting realistic design results that would suit them.
New kitchen was supported by a butler’s pantry which opened into the living room which flowed onto the new rear deck. Client’s initial ideas combined with our feedback resulted in a good outcome- happy clients. Structural engineering of the design was handled by our external team which our design team collaborated with.
