Now let's talk more about the first step in your project...
WHAT IS PRE-RENOVATION?
Renovation starts long before your building contractor gets on site-before you even get Council approval.
Now everything that happens before Council approval is called pre-renovation.
(We will talk more about it later.)
There are many steps before the actual build, and it depends
on what type of renovation you are actually doing.
So the renovation process can be challenging for
many reasons but the 2 biggest ones

Not knowing the whole process can result in major losses in project time and what you need to do(scope); redoing documents and building processes, resubmitting drawings and documents to Council, costly project errors and overruns.It can leave a bad taste in your mouth, and more importantly, a big hole in your wallet.
So what are the stages in the renovation process?
There are 3 main stages are
This is everything that happens starting from the ideas in your head up to Council Approval.
It usually includes Drafting, Structural Engineering, Soil testing and Private Certification. In most cases you cannot get Council approval or legally build without taking this step, so pay close attention to it! This also applies to Unapproved structures.
This involves having a Private Certifier or Council approve your documents so you can start to build! This is the middle part where dreams are granted, or crushed.
This is everything that takes place after you have been approved to build your structure- It usually includes giving your builder the OK to start the actual building stages, inspections, certifications and the final inspection Certificate(form 21).

We have been working on this special project for over 2 years, and we are almost there!! We need all the pre-renovation questions you can ask, no limits, no barriers, just the bare truth.
